This is such a loss for the world. Micah was in my sixth grade class and was a joy to know. I am posting this in honor of him and to discourage anyone who may be contemplating such an act.

A Riverside teen died last month after inhaling helium, and the boy's father wants to warn others that the seemingly harmless practice can be deadly.
Tony David said his son Micah David, 17, was earning straight A's at King High School before he died Dec. 14.
Helium is often inhaled from balloons so users can take on a high-pitched, distorted sound like Donald Duck. But breathing the gas can displace enough oxygen to cause unconsciousness or death.
